Live, virtual cooking classes for friend groups, after-school clubs, family reunions, or workplace bonding.
Join a chef and children's author & educator as we laugh and learn our way through cooking. Hungry Hangouts is a personalized, two-hour cooking class for small groups that will engage, entertain, and provide hands-on experience with food. Not only that, but your dinner is made! Thank you, class!

We know that planning socially distanced hangouts is tough during this time. We're here to help. Food and fun are the name of the game. If we aren't laughing then we aren't learning! Our goal is to make food approachable, give people the time and space to hang out with one another, and come together over the joy of cooking. Edible education here we come!

Delaney Workman
Chef & Edible Education Enthusiast
Delaney followed her dream into the kitchen after a year of travel and volunteerism on organic farms across the Western world. She traveled to Ireland to obtain a culinary certificate at Ballymaloe Cookery School, where she became passionate about seasonal, sustainable, organic farming. Delaney believes comprehensive, well-rounded education is necessary to sustainably plant, harvest, cook, and feed. She has worked in kitchens in Chicago and Boston.

Morgan Jane Russo
Children's Media Writer & Educator

Morgan taught in Chicago Public Schools for 5 years before becoming a writer for children’s media. She’s worked on the creative side for various edtech companies like Peekapak, 321 Learning, and Friends Call Me Jim. She’s recently released her first book, The Mediators, a book about how children can best use and manage their devices. She is finishing up her Masters in Child Development, and works at the TEC Center (Technology in Early Childhood) studying how children learn from media and technology.
It started way back when...
...back when we were five!

Delaney and Morgan know first-hand the power of friendship. They became instant friends the first day of Kindergarten and are still close friends 25 years later - just with better haircuts now.
While both originally from Chicago, we certainly had our adventures! Delaney went to college in Washington D.C. and then worked in non-profit in Boston until she decided to follow her passion and attend culinary school in Ireland. Morgan moved to North Carolina for college, taught in classrooms in Chicago, and has recently returned after living in Amsterdam.
We like to think of ourselves as self-proclaimed experts in friendship (especially virtual friendship!). We know that being long (or short) distance friends has its challenges, but we also believe in the power of friendship to help us get through tough times.
Hungry Hangouts was born out of the hope that we can use food to bring friends together.
It’s sure worked for us!
